Community means standing together to help each other. We have each other’s backs. And some in our communities need more help and support than others.

This is where Curate Cares comes in. Curate Cares has made it their mission to help meet needs in the Bay of Plenty community, be it through addiction and budgeting counselling, food packs, distributing Kids Winter Warm up packs of clothing and community meals. Curate Cares are always on the look-out for people in need.

Rain Bar stepped up to the plate to help Curate Cares by paying-it-forward 20 meals that Curate Cares could then give to needy folk in the community. You see, caring always has a practical element, so these meals help to say “we’re thinking about you” and “we care”.

You can find Rain Bar at 30 Gravatt Road in Papamoa; locals know it as being their local. Rain Bar offers brunches, lunches and dinners, but they also offer great drinks and snacks at any time of day! You can also watch some of the sports action on the many screens at Rain, so you can also have entertainment as you eat and drink as well!

Rain Bar is where the Papamoa locals go but also others from further afield. If Papamoa is too far for you to travel, head to our marketplace for other ways to give and be part of a caring community.
