Food is an essential human need, we need it to survive. But food is also something we have built our lives and community around. Family meals, community events, food festivals and some of our absolute favourite occasions like Christmas are built around food. Food brings far more than nutrition for survival.

The above are two of the main reasons that GoGenerosity has had a big focus on providing quality meals to those people struggling for food security. We not only want people receiving meals to help them survive, but to thrive and enjoy food with their family and friends.

Thanks to their generous customers paying-it-forward, Rain Bar in Papamoa have been able to provide hundreds of meals to local people in need via their charity partner, Curate Cares.

One of the best stories, thanks to the generosity of the Rain Bar crew, involved a local single mum who was struggling to put substantial meals on the table for her family each night. When meals for an entire week turned up, she was amazed. With tears in her eyes she shared that not only could she now feed her young family, but that this would also reduce her stress for her and make meal times a lot happier.

It's blown us away how little bits often (50c, $1, $5) from the generous regulars at Rain Bar have made a big difference to local families doing it tough. Thanks to all of you who have been part of giving any amount, no matter how small.

Want to know how you can be part of it? Check out our partner directory and go and pay-it-forward for a better future 🙏
