Period products can be an expensive challenge for many. This is something AWWA Period Care has been working on changing since they first began - with a mission to ensure no-one has to miss school or work because of their ikura.

For the New Zealand’s Women's Refuge this is something they battle with daily.

We struggle with period products constantly, for the refuges to take it out of their budget is a huge cost when they need to buy food and other necessities. The fact that AWWA’s products are sustainable and reusable is a huge benefit, we’re so thankful to have access to them for the women we support.

Founded by Michele and Kylie, AWWA have always been fuelled by the desire to do good, something we have been excited to amplify by giving their customers the chance to join in on their mission while shopping online.

Last month, AWWA knocked it out of the park, receiving $2,900 in pay-it-forwards over March. This will be used to provide period products to refuges across the country. That's huge! It's not about the money - it's about making a real, tangible difference in people's lives by providing what they need, when they need it most.

This generosity means the world to women and kids starting fresh after escaping domestic violence. The last thing they need is period stress added to the list! Thanks to AWWA's generosity and the Women’s Refuge’s kindness, that's one less thing on their plate.

Big props to AWWA and all their customers who've paid-it-forward. Your generosity is changing lives, one period at a time. And hey, if you're in the market for some period underwear, visit AWWA and add a pay-it-forward donation while you’re there.
