Your skin is the largest organ of your body. It protects you from the elements, helps your body maintain a happy temperature, and holds us together. It’s often the first to show signs of our internal health too, especially when we’ve been unwell or undergone intensive medical treatments.

For the women supported by Breast Cancer Support Services, this is often the case. Their chemotherapy treatments impact their skin and mean it needs extra care - as do they.  Honest Skincare provided a way to do both - to look after their skin as well as make these women feel cared for.

A natural skincare company who source all ingredients locally, Honest Skincare paid-it-forward two $100 vouchers to women diagnosed with Breast Cancer through their charity partner Breast Cancer Support Services Tauranga Trust.

These vouchers went to women who were having a tough time and provided them with a little pick-me-up, as well as a way to look after their changed skin and feel good.

A huge thank you to you and the Honest Skincare company for the vouchers which I have passed on to 2 of our clients. One of the recipients told me it would be great to find some natural products to use on her skin which has undergone a lot of changes during her chemotherapy treatment. She was very grateful looking forward to getting some nice things for her skin. The other has been through a very tough time and just had surgery so was overwhelmed to receive something just for herself as she is the “go to person for everyone else” So, thank you so much for this from us all at BCSS and on behalf of our clients.

It is so heartwarming to see the impact that we can each have when all of our little pay-it-forward amounts are combined.

These vouchers were made possible thanks to the pay-it-forwards of Honest Skincare’s online customers. If you want to be one of those and are a fan of skincare ingredients you could eat (if you wanted to, goes better on the skin though), head to their website here to be part of this generosity.
