As the saying goes, food is the way to the heart. Love Rosie (in Tauranga) uses food to warm the hearts of those who need it most in our community - the children and women who are seeking respite from family violence.

Sadly, every day in homes throughout New Zealand, our kids are seeing, hearing and, in some cases, getting caught in the middle of family violence. Tauranga Women’s Refuge is a place where these women and children can come for care, support and safety.

Love Rosie generously pay-it-forward 10 meals of their delicious (must-try!) sandwiches and $100 worth of baking to Tauranga Women’s Refuge on the third Wednesday of the month. That’s every month! Their heart for the community is incredible to see.

Women’s Refuge are really grateful for Love Rosie’s ongoing generosity. They said: “Our residents and their children were happy to receive treats ... thank you.”

If the sound of treats is making you drool, head down to Love Rosie at 50 Ninth Ave where you can choose from cakes, baked goods, and delicious salads and sammys. Not to mention the best coffee around. And when you do, why not add a little (even 50c or $1) to your payment to pass the love on to those in need of extra care and attention at Tauranga Women’s Refuge.

To help Love Rosie provide so generously every month, Spark Business Hub Bay of Plenty have partnered with them, through donations. Together, they help offer some care to local women and kids who need a safe physical haven as well as treats for their emotional wellbeing.
