Do you know anyone who’s had some cosmetic tattooing done? Some need it to help offset the effects of cancer therapy or other medical issues; others like to make parts of their faces more prominent, like some microblading (of eyebrows). It’s a “look good and feel even better about yourself” kind of thing.

Features Inc. are in the business of helping people to look good and feel even better about themselves. They also believe in giving out to others in the community and offering them a better future. So, they recently paid-it-forward a $119 voucher for beauty treatments to The Salvation Army to be distributed to those in the community that the Army assists.

The Salvation Army is no normal fighting force. They have made it their mission to help the poor and needy in the community and do this in various ways, such as alcohol and drug support, housing, food, and life skills and parenting programmes—all very practical ways to help people. They also offer spiritual support and now emotional support in the form of beauty therapy to help people to believe in themselves again. The Army is always fighting for those less fortunate.

You can find Features Inc. at 28 Bureta Road in Otumoetai (Tauranga). Apart from cosmetic tattooing, they offer other services like spray tans, facials and plasma skin tightening. They’re a one-stop shop for beauty therapy!

Corporate partner Holland Beckett Law, with practices throughout the Bay of Plenty, was also in on the action, wanting to assist Features Inc. and also The Salvation Army in the spirit of being pro-equality and anti-poverty.

If you, too, want to join the good fight, add a little to your bill next time you’re at Features Inc.—even just a little can go a long way to assisting others.
