Welcome to Rain … Rain Bar that is for those of us who’ve been a little saturated of late! Rain Bar is a Papamoa (that’s south of Mount Maunganui for non-locals) landmark and is a place where the locals go for drinks, functions or just to hang out with friends. It’s a local’s local.

Rain Bar’s motto is not just about welcoming their paying customers but also reaching out to generously build a better future for less fortunate members of the community. They’ve recently paid-it-forward 20 meals to Curate Cares, a nationwide organisation that seeks to help people in tangible ways—like meals—to build a better future. The 20 meals went a long way to help those who couldn’t afford a cafe-style meal.

This is not the first time that Rain Bar has paid-it-forward to Curate Cares; they’re generous a lot of the time. Curate Cares is grateful for the support as it helps them to continue their good work in the community.

Even if you’re not a local, you can still head down to Rain Bar at 30 Gravatt Road in Papamoa and enjoy Rain’s hospitable service and delicious meals, but they also make it easy for you to be part of paying-it-forward as well. When paying your bill, you can add a little extra, even 50c or $1, so that they can turn that into meals to meet the needs in the local community. That way, we can all be part of the pay-it-forward giving that seeks to build a better future for us all.
